1. What is Progressive House World Wide ?

PHWW is a unique website dedicated to promotion of contemporary, quality progressive sounding. Besides main progressive lines, we support all trancy / techy / deeper / techno inspired music, all until it follows the progressive music philosophy. We think we are unique because there is neither one more site dedicated to promotion of ONLY & STRICTLY THE PROGRESSIVE SOUND – in a legal way: by cooperating with labels and artists / producers / DJ’s.

2. Is received music qualified enough te be featured on PHWW ?

Well our ears decide that. Our favorite quotation here is “How About Some Melodies For A Change”. We are going against cacophony of contemporary electronic music. We seek melodic & atmospheric sounds. Shortly: music with idea, feelings and soul. Without that … not sure we can call it music :)

3. Who we are?

We are simply bunch of music nerds. Some of as are DJ’s from local underground basements, some of us is just classic music junkies. What gets us all together here is our love for quality progressive music.

4. What do we do ?

Simply: we are promoting progressive music – artists and labels which we consider has the most quality up to date, in progressive music business.

5. How do we do it?

We promote music in a few basic ways. All supported artists and labels have their own page on our site. The artist / label page features all important informations: usefull links, Beatport players, pictures, introduction stories, important updates, list of upcoming gigs etc. Then, all supported artists / labels get promotion of their latest releases, by posting covers for the releases, release descriptions, Youtube previews, links to the stores where all releases are available to buy. Then, we do the interviews with artists and label owners, so that people can get more familiarized with their work, to see whats their point of view on some important topics. Also, with all promo materials we receive, we mix “Promo Sets” so that people can hear what is upcoming. We got our own PHWW session at our friendly radio Pure.FM/ progressive channel, we also use that to promote our favourite artist and labels. Next, we announce upcoming releases, if needed with some snippets via Youtube or Soundcloud. Those are just few basic ways we work with. And also all other ways which artist / label can think of! ;)

6. Why do we do all this ?

As Friedrich Nietzche said: “Life Without Music Would Be A Mistake”. The reason we do all this is quite simple: WE LOVE MUSIC ! Nothing more – nothing less then that.

7. Why should artist and labels cooperate with PHWW ?

The reason is quite simple here. Let us explain here. All artists and labels want: to get more famous and to sell their releases the best as they can. There are two ways to do that. First is: Tiesto is playing some track in Assen, Netherlands. Well, this is just more than awesome! Thousands of drunk people dancing to your track! Awesome! But lets go further. Do YOU think some of them during the dancing will say: “Hmmmmm … this track is great, I will ask Tiesto after the gig,what’s the name of it, I will write the name on my cell phone and probably will buy it later”. Is it possible? Sorry but I don’t think so. Rather: the music web crowd will surf through the internet. They stumble upon our website. They check our promo mixes (or promo previews), download it, check Artist/Label stories, they follow the story a bit. They relisten and relisten our mixtape … And finally they say: “Hell yeah I am buying this one!” So both of the ways of promotion are needed and both are cool; we based our way on understanding the importance of MUSIC WEB CROWD (a guy from Knjazevac, Serbia probably will never have the opportunity to listen to Tiesto live); that crowd is now stronger and bigger then ever. So … lets offer them something – they are the ones who are ready to buy your track – much more than a drunk dude or girl who listened to Tiesto live and after that ended in bed probably ;D !

8. Do we earn something with this ?

We earn two things with this: 1) Anger of our girlfirends and families because of we almost sleeping in front of the computers, seeking the freshest progressive news so that we can update our visitors. 2) We earn A LOT of losses (in time sense) because we can not dedicate our attention to much more important stuff in our lifes. That’s all what we earn.
